Reliable heat with the new water heater from Eberspaecher

Esslingen, 8 August 2018 – The third generation of the Hydronic water heater provides even more efficient heating performance in a compact design. With their wide range of outputs from 1.3 to 5 kW, the Hydronic S3 Economy and the Hydronic S3 Commercial featuring the 5.6 kW power variant are suitable for many different vehicles, from cars to heavy-duty trucks.

With their robust design and brushless motor, Hydronic water heaters are built to last. The Hydronic S3 Commercial (24 V) power variant is a new development, producing a 5.6 kW heat output and featuring automatic adjustment at altitudes up to 3,000 meters for trucks and construction site vehicles. The Hydronic S3 Economy “CAN/switching plus” variant replaces the previous “CAN/LIN” variant, and now enables control via switching plus in addition to the state-of-the-art CAN communications protocol. It offers compatibility with all operating elements which transmit a switching plus signal.

Mobile communications with the new EasyStart Web
The water heater is compatible with the new CAN bus-capable operating elements. Available from fall, the new EasyStart Web version switches the heater on even faster than before. It also has a built-in function to utilize the residual heat from the motor. That saves energy, and helps protect the environment. EasyStart Web is easy to install thanks to its integrated antenna and the pre-installed SIM chip in the receiver unit. EasyStart Web offers the customary user-friendly control options by smartphone, smartwatch or any other internet-enabled end device.

Easy diagnostics
The intuitive EasyScan diagnostic and service unit enables workshops to carry out comprehensive analysis of a heating system's current operating state. Features include support to initial setup, error analysis, and error display in plain text. Also, when enabled by the customer, EasyStart Web can provide detailed remote diagnostics.

Quick installation thanks to vehicle-specific kits
The heater's compact size means it can be flexibly installed even in vehicles where space is tight. Eberspaecher supplies vehicle-specific kits for quick installation in cars, saving time and facilitating work. The Partner Portal at partner.eberspaecher.com/en additionally provides workshops with suggestions for retrofitting in a wide range of different vehicle models.
